OLYMPIA — Washington State Parks will co-host the International Coastal Cleanup at beaches on the Pacific Coast and Salish Sea on Saturday.

The annual event, co-sponsored by Washington Coastsavers, is conducted on the third Saturday in September.

So far this year, Coastal Cleanup volunteers have collected more than 162,000 pounds of debris from Washington beaches.

Events will take place at the following locations:

• Fort Flagler State Park, with check-in from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Resort at Port Ludlow, 1 Heron Road, Port Ludlow.

• Fort Worden, with check-in from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Port Townsend Marine Science Center, 502 Harbor Defense Way, Port Townsend.
