While it is easy to get depressed by the current fossil fuel funded federal government and presidential positions on transport, the future is arriving, as it usually does, without any help from the powers that be. The rise of the cargo bike portends a future city with far less gas powered delivery vehicles, less air pollution, and a reduction in vehicles on the roads, which likely will make even car drivers happy!

Tern’s NYC delivery e-bike fleet crosses 1 million miles, with some bikes rolling past 30k

Electric cars and bikes are analogous to automobiles taking over for horses 120 years ago. It will happen even without government assistance. Our current administration will delay this by several years but ultimately the benefits of EV’s will cause them to take over. You can’t fight progress. The rest of the world is unfortunately leaving us in the dust.
