Massive cargo ship arrives in Seattle’s Elliott Bay – Various sources

I’m a bit conflicted on this one. Certainly ships of this size will possibly mean less shipping traffic as more cargo can be put on any given ship, which lowers the risks of a massive spill. Also the ships being modern should be more reliable. Downside is that if there is a wreck, it could be far worse, given the amount of oil carried by this ships is likely more.  The good news is that our pilots are on board, and they have been part of the reason we have averted a major spill from freighters and tankers up to now. Thoughts?

The largest cargo ship ever to visit the United States, the CMA CGM Benjamin Franklin, arrived at Harbor Island’s Terminal 18 on Monday, packed with electronics, clothing, furniture and sporting goods.
