Thanks to the Joyce Grange for hosting “Voices of the Strait”. A nice crowd of about 30 people showed up for potluck, a viewing of the two videos and a discussion afterwards.
We will be showing the video next to the folks out at Discovery Bay Club at Cape George and the Northbeach (Port Townsend) monthly meeting. If you are interested in attending please let me know.
In other news, we recently interviewed 86 Palmer Trettevick who grew up in Neah Bay, playing with the brothers of our interviewee Edith Hottowe. Palmer had a lot of interesting tales to tell, including seeing, in the 1930’s, a 125 lb salmon brought back from Swiftsure Banks. It was apparently considered the largest ever caught.
