Gov. Jay Inslee Tuesday unveiled a new climate-change package that includes a renewed push for a clean fuels standard and capping some greenhouse-gas emissions. Other proposals would further electrify Washington’s ferry fleet and reduce the carbon footprint of buildings, according to Inslee, and bring equity into environmental policy.Inslee’s plan comes as part of his new two-year budget proposal, and as lawmakers prepare to convene in January for the 2021 legislative session. Many of us have worked for Climate and GHG Solutions for decades. We have a Democratic Senate and House here in WA State…………..but still we cannot get a climate package passed here in
WA. We support Gov Inslee in his efforts!
I hope Gov Jay has watched “Kiss the Ground”. He needs to put agriculture on the list of greening our state, especially on the eastern side.
YES! Agricultural practices are an important tool, for GHG issues.
Thanks Miriam!
