Racing Extinction Opens Online

The new film by the makers of the Cove, have released “Racing Extinction” .  Having been offered to see it as part of an early showing, I can state that any of you reading this blog will appreciate this film, and should see it.

The film has two parts, the first shows the filmmakers going under cover to document some very disasterous but typical Chinese and other companies that are exploiting the trade of endangered species, such as shark fins for soup. This first part is hard to watch, as the scope of the illegal trade they uncover is stunning in it’s size and brutality.

Racing Extinction is an eco-thriller that examines mankind & a possible role in mass extinction. Academy Award-winning documentary filmmaker Louie Psihoyos joins scientists, environmentalists, artists, and engineers to draw attention to this pressing issue.

The second part is the good news, that the planet can be saved, and discusses how you can do just one thing to help. It left me feeling much more empowered to take action.

Please see this film. It is well worth the money, and will show you issues you likely have not seen before, it’s a very dramatic script and leaves a viewer with a sense of optimism.

The Trailer for the movie.

It’s available from Amazon and iTunes/Apple TV  . You can also pre-order a DVD from the producers.
