200-year planning: City engineers and developers are beginning to revise building plans to allow for new projections for higher sea-level rises on the B.C. coast. In Vancouver, the company building a significant development along the Fraser River in the southeast part of the city is planning to raise its land about two-thirds of a metre. Dikes along the river in Richmond are also being planned to go higher.
