We also need to make sure the monitoring and adaptive management occurs DURING dam removal-think Elwha estuary and Elwha bluffs shoreline- and that local scientists and managers currently leading efforts (AGAIN THINK NEARSHORE) are also the ones help, in a leadership role, identify and address priorities incluidng doing work-not just those federal agencies that are better positioned politically to intercept funds.
