Call for Projects

The Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary is looking for organizations to coordinate projects for application to the Department of Ecology for projects to build public awareness for ocean issues that the Sanctuary faces.  The application requires an online letter of support from the sanctuary on any projects which partner with us.

See below and attached for National Marine Sanctuary Foundation’s Ernest F. Hollings Ocean Awareness Trust Fund grants. Applications are due October 22 and must range between $10,000 and $25,0000. Projects that partner with/occur in a national marine sanctuary are weighed more favorably. The foundation only plans to fund projects that build public awareness around the following issues:

· Marine Debris
· Human Interaction with Marine Mammals
· Non-Point Source Pollution and Runoff
· Oceans and Human Health
· Ocean Acidification
