Although the removal of the Elwha dams and breaching the 4 lower Snake River dams with a channel bypass are significantly different processes, the fact remains nature miraculously heals from all damage inflicted by humans. Wild salmon regaining unbarred access to native spawning grounds in Idaho would prevent the death of at least two million smolts each year. Imaging that!
