I have received a lot of replies both here and through email on the article I published the other day about the charges of racism against me by Mr. Steve Hampton. Some have asked what they can do about this outrageous and counterproductive behavior by Mr. Hampton. Contacting Audubon Society in its various chapters is probably the best way to share your point of view. He is well respected by them.
Mr. Hampton is a member of The Rainshadow Bird Alliance, the local Audubon chapter. They have been unresponsive to anyone that wants to discuss any point of view but the Tribes’ on this issue as a number of people have tried to get on a monthly meeting or in their newsletter. It appears Mr. Hampton holds sway over this chapter.

Additionally, I would recommend calling or emailing the State and National Audubon Societies and register your displeasure with Mr. Hampton’s behavior. It appears the only way to get the point across is by talking to the people who value his expertise and are likely unaware of his current behavior.

Action is usually the way to get results. Thanks for asking what can be done.
